Jalie Skort - Tropical print
My tropical skort with matching top made from Kwik Sew 2668. The shorts that you can't see are a tan lycra. The tropical print is somewhat thin, so I wanted the shorts in a colour that wouldn't show through.
To add some interest to the top, I stitched a tropical frond on the side of the top. I got the inspiration from another woman's top at my yoga class! My stitching is a bit shaky, but I think it still turned out pretty good.

This is great, I love your tropical variation! Im thinking of buying this pattern, but Im a beginner. I have a pair of compression shorts I just love, do you think it would be possible to just make the "skirt" portion and attach to those?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you could attach your own shorts. Just watch out for the length of the legs so they don't show out from the skirt, and make the rise the same as the pattern's shorts.
